Oral Sedation involves taking a prescribed medication prior to dental treatment and provides a deeper level of sedation compared to nitrous oxide. Some patients will fall asleep with the use of oral sedation while others will experience a deep sense of relaxation while being awake. We advise that you have a friend/family member drive you to/from your appointment with the use of oral sedation. Additional nitrous oxide can also be administered throughout your procedure.
